“With further research on handwriting systems it was identified that Old English Law handwriting and it’s many different forms was the original script to MS 408. The point of view perspective of how the cipher works is based on how 14th century cartographers were trying to draw world maps in a 2D plane … Stereographic map projection using geodetic mathematics was used in the manuscript to visually represent letters based on how written language itself was built from various origin etymologies. The path of human migration into England was manipulated to showcase how the knowledge in the manuscript came from various vantage points spanning though a great distance of time.”

In my research today and translating folio 76r I made a new discovery of one of the cypher letters. Shown Below.

The symbol shown is used in the text as a cursive “i”. When combined with other letters it is scribed using dull brown ink representing the letter “i”. But, when represented by itself it is inked with apple gum ink and darker than other letters. In mathematics and physics specifically this indicates a math symbol not a letter. To throw more into this symbol when shown as math symbol it represents the physics symbol “P” for P = MV, the equation for momentum. Scribes of physics have always scribed the physics P in italics and bold. Years later this equation would be made famous by Newton.

Why does using Apple Gum Ink for this symbol matter? Apple Gum Ink was used in one court system and forged one of the most important documents in human history, the Magna Carta. A legal document from which the King of England 1215 signed.

The manipulation of letters and symbols is indicative of Brunelleschi’s Point Perspective. The cypher is based on perspective of what you visually see in a 3D Globe in 2D with the illusion of time that changes that perspective.
To best understand this concept studying Old English law hand was vital in learning how to visually see through the manipulation. A good resource of this was written in 1716. The Old English Law hand image below is a vital resource in comparing the VM cypher to real letters. Other mathematical symbols in the cypher come from ancient Greek symbols. Observe the upper case letter P and the physics symbols posted above. Can you see how it was manipulated, rotated and straightened out?
