Military code time. MS 408 is a Navy code. This code style is still used today, though MS 408 is probably the best possible version. The MS408 code very cleverly works unlike anything I’ve ever seen, it works on the 3D plane, from the design, graphs, linguistics, and glyphs all function in 3D. Other ciphers work on a rotation but are still linear. Shift this over, rotate, and repeat. MS408 cipher is a sphere. The glyphs are letters on a sphere and are visual representations of the letter rotated in 3D. (Visit my blog post about the cipher to get a more complete understanding.) The grid system built into the paragraphs is a 2D representation of a 3D object, a map of Earth as a globe. This type of cipher is indicative of the Chinese bone box puzzle.
Linguistically, this also happens. Each page has a code word. A word unique to that page only. The code word will employ the cultural region’s definition of where the maps are located as well as the definition of the language that the author speaks. This gives a bigger surprising code word.
For example, in Folio 82v the word is “uri”, line 33, 5th word. To the Maori, it means deep dark color. In Latin it means Bison. In Basque it means water, and royal business settlement. The Navy Code word uri means all of the above. The location on 82v which is a dark blue color is Perth Australia. This phenomenon happens so often in MS408 that I have stopped asking if it’s a true connection.
