Folio 85v – Map of The Arctic Circle

The Arctic Oscillation (AO) is so important today it is talked about by every meteorologist on the nightly news. How’s the weather today? Just look at the Arctic Oscillation. After examining each circle and what we know today of the AO, the Voynich Manuscript authors are spot on, minus climate change. The major points to make of the map on Folio 85v is the counter-clockwise and clockwise jet stream patterns that occur due to each circular pull from the arctic wind. Couter-clockwise is drawn in red, clockwise is drawn in blue.

MYTHOLOGY and TRUTH: The center circle is known by many names: Arctic Circle, Null Island, Origin, Beginning, Zero. The VM authors will use all the listed names but the Arctic Circle. It is drawn by using a Russian Christian Cathedral. Here is where folklore and mythology play a role in the imagery of the VM manuscript. A great myth we still love and celebrate every year is a man names Santa Clause whom lives in a magical place of the North Pole, he can fly the entire world in just one day and is a bringer of gifts to children. The real St. Nicholas lived in a monastery in the direct path of the rhumb line where the arctic air makes its escape. The VM authors say in the translation that this survey was done many years before them, and that they confirmed the information. Was it the real St. Nicholas that did the survey? A monk from Finland and Russia? Given that the time zones in the arctic are so tightly connected it is possible to go around the world in those zones in less than a day. Did reality, mythology and religion combine to tell children of the world this tell to teach humanity how the world spins and is round?

Mythology and Truths are on every page of the VM. The authors use myths to describe truths, and I am very certain they know the difference. Usually hiding a truth within the myth. Visually there are a great deal of gems on this page that I will write in a much larger work. I’ve spoken about time and clocks, this page is scattered with clock parts and how to work the clock gears. The translation within the gear parts tells you how to oil it, where to oil it, and when. As the parts are scattered throughout the manuscript I will be diving deeper into that subject once I uncover all the parts. There are a lot. Father Time or rather more specifically Chronos. He represents the cutting away of time as the VM authors divide time into time zones. He represents the cycle of birth, growth and death, as is shown in the map as wind cycles through time zones. He also represents the unstoppable flow of time. The flow of time is the rhumb line through the wind through Earth’s spin and rotation, which is the key to the VM and understanding of the cypher itself.

Within the myth of Chronos the authors of the VM drew Clock Tower organ pipes. But, not just any way, the pipes are drawn like the pipe of the Greek God Pan. Pan is the God of the natural world and loves to play music with instruments made of reeds. He is half man half goat (where else in the VM have you seen a goat?) Pan was never worshipped like other gods, he was typically worshipped in places like caves. Caves and goats in the VM go hand in hand. What facinates me is there was only one Greek God that died, which was Pan. The day he died it is said that the Greek people shouted in the streets that Pan was dead. That day was the day Jesus was crucified, which gave Jesus the nickname “The Great Pan.” Jesus is Pan! In the bible John 14:4-7 says “4. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. 5. Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not wither thou goest, and how can we know the way. 6. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me. 7. If ye had known me, ye should have known may Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” What the VM authors are displaying on this map is The Great Pan showing us the way to life, the truth about this world. Magic does not exist. Magic is an illusion and a lie. The truth to our world is we live on an ellipsoidal circular planet that spins on a axis around the sun. The force of nature and that spin create a pathway through water and wind which we call the rhumb line.

PLACE NAME: The other very important nugget on this map is that there is only one place name that I could find in the translation. The place name is “Helm Wind.” Helm Wind is a specific type of wind that travels 90-100 mph going through Cumbria, England, into the Irish Sea. Dear glorious reader, look back on Folio 2v and 3r, a map of Kirkcudbright Bay, Scotland, and 3r a map of how to go from Kirkcudbright Bay to the rhumb line. This is the location that we, the Tucker STEM Team, say is the origin of the VM manuscript. To exit Kirkcudbright Bay, Scotland into the Irish Sea a sailor would head straight into the Helm Wind going past Portugal. Our theory is the authors are a combined force of De Bruce, Stuart and McLellan, possibly compiled after the Scottish Independence fought and won by the McLellan’s. After the VM was completed the McLellan clan would build their castle in Kirkcudbright Bay 1440’s and be elevated to Barron, charged with protecting Nautical Trade in and out of Scotland through Kirkcudbright. The language the spoke was called Galwegian, the last person who spoke Galwegian died in 1760, and was said to have never been written down.

Place Name Bridge (1): “Helm Wind” is used only in Cumbria, England, to describe a north-easterly, can go as fast as 100mph. The Voynich authors clocked it at 91.2 mph.

The Helm Wind is believed to take its name from the Anglo-Saxon word for “helmet” or “covering,” referencing the cloud formation that often forms above Cross Fell. The Helm Wind is a lee wave phenomenon. When a stable north-easterly wind blows perpendicular to the Pennines, it creates a wave-like pattern in the air. As the air descends the western slopes of the fells, it accelerates, creating the strong, gusty wind. Folio 2v (Kirkcudbright Bay) is the starting point the Voynich Authors intended to sail in and out of and would need to navigate through the Helm Wind.  Kirkcudbright Bay Scotland is a Royal Barge controlled by Clan McLellan, whom spoke the Scottish Language Galwegian, known as the official language of the Scottish Royal court.
